He lived and worked in Amsterdam. He was a Gestalt therapist and co-director of the Nederlands Gestalt Instituut, where he organized Gestalt Therapy training programs. In 1976 he specialized in Gestalt en Holistische Gezondheidszorg at the Nederlands Gestalt Institute, Rotterdam. In 1979 he completed his training at the Gestalt Training Center – San Diego, California, founded by Erving and Miriam Polster. He was supervised by Ischa Bloomberg, Eva Fischer, Isadore From, Karlfried Dürckheim, William Solomon, Gay Parnell.
